FAQ
Questions we get a lot. Answers as we have them.
For organizations
Are you still accepting partner organizations for this trial?
No. Partner spots for this trial are full—interest was stronger than we expected. The trial still goes ahead if our grant application is successful, with the organizations already on board. Get in touch if you want to talk about how Punkeye might benefit your organization in another way—letters of support, future phases, or a scoped consulting engagement.
What does it cost?
For partner organizations in this trial, if the grant is awarded: participation at no cost for this phase. For other relationships—letters of support, future work, or consulting—terms depend on the project. Ask and we'll be direct about what fits.
Can our organization provide a letter of support?
Yes. We welcome letters of support for grant applications and aligned initiatives when the fit is real. Email with what you need and your timeline.
How long does a project typically run?
Weeks to months to years. Projects build at everyone's pace—one simple creative task per day, weekly check-ins. No fixed deadline. A project runs as long as the individual likes. Participants can see their work-in-progress at any time.
What if someone drops out?
Projects are designed to stand alone or to mesh with others. We always respect the wishes of individuals. Their work is theirs alone. They're welcome to collaborate with others, or not.
How much training do caregivers need?
We teach the model so it slots into existing routines. No specialized instructors. Staff use the devices and apps they already know. We'll figure out the training with you when we set things up.
Data & privacy
Where is people's work stored? Who has access?
Media stays local. We're not building a cloud platform that holds your data. Their work is stored under your control; we help organize it. We may host finished projects on Vimeo for clients to view and share—with consent. Nothing else is shared until everyone chooses to.
What about consent for filming?
Ongoing consent, not a form you sign once. Participation is driven by daily choice—whether to contribute or not. If someone chooses not to contribute, that's respected. People tell their own stories—we don't speak for them.
Rights & ownership
Who owns the final films?
People keep credit for what they make. Creative value isn't who holds the camera—it's who makes the decisions. Media and stories stay under their control and the local group's. Nothing is shared until they choose to.
For families
What's the family/individual offering?
We're building it. Same model: everyday technology, structure. Subscriptions or sessions with a loved one and their caregiver. Format is still in development. Express interest and we'll add you to the list.
